Teenage girls arrested after biting woman during carjacking in Cranbourne, Victoria shopping centre

Woman is ‘bitten and threatened with a screwdriver during violent carjacking’ in a Melbourne shopping centre – as three 15-year-old girls are charged

A trio of teenage girls have been charged after a woman was bitten and threatened with a screwdriver during a violent carjacking. 

The three teenagers, all aged 15, allegedly assaulted a 48-year-old woman on Sunday at a shopping centre on High Street in Cranbourne, Victoria at about 3.40pm. 

Police allege the woman from Clyde North was approached by the young girls who attempted to steal her keys.

During the assault she was allegedly bitten and threatened with a screwdriver before the trio fled. 

Victoria Police arrested the teenagers, who will appear before a children’s court at a later date.   

A Pakenham girl has been charged with attempted aggravated carjacking, armed robbery and assault with intent to rob.

Two girls from Cranbourne East and Melton West have also been charged while on bail.
